Hello, and thank you again for taking the time to visit my website. I hope that you were able to find all necessary information. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me an email. I will follow up with you as soon as possible.
I wanted to include a blog on my website for two reasons. First, I wanted a section where I could include professional updates and milestones. Given the minimalist layout of my website, it would be cluttered to include these things on the front page. So I have chosen to create a platform where I can become as in depth as necessary.
The second reason I am including a blog is because through my education experience, blogging about the work I have created and refined has allowed me to reflect on the process of creating news and why I am pursuing such tasks as part of a career.
As we move into a digitial era of news, a lot of the things I have done in my studies are mostly uncharted territories. I have run a Yik Yak feed for the WUFT newsroom to share interesting and unusual miconews with students at the University of Florida. I have created multimedia pieces only made possible because of the Internet. And every time I've done something new, I have realised that I am on the edge of some marvelous news explorations and it is exciting to be involved in the process. So why not document each moment?
